The University of Memphis Athletic Director R.C. Johnson announced today that the contract of women's golf coach Jenny Bruun would not be renewed for the 2008-09 season.

"We have decided to move the program in another direction," said Johnson. "With the construction of the Frank Flautt Golf Center at our Park Avenue Campus, we feel that all the pieces are in place for a nationally-ranked golf program at the University of Memphis."

A search for a new head coach will begin immediately with Associate Athletic Director Bob Winn serving as the chair of the search committee.
